Pre-conference Workshop II: Introduction of Statistical Tool for Real-world Data Analysis
This workshop aims to introduce you to a tool that will enhance your data analysis capabilities. The workshop will provide a brief introduction to three key aspects: common statistical analysis for real world observational study, methods for adjusting confounding factors, and a practical hands-on experience utilizing the widely-used statistical tool, R.While prior programming knowledge is not required, we strongly recommend that participants install R and RStudioprior to attending the workshop. This will ensure a smoother learning experience and allow you to fully engage in the practical exercises. Facilitators will guide through the process of managing and analysing real-world data. By the conclusion of the workshop, you will have acquired practical skills in utilizing R and be equipped with the knowledge to handle real-world data in your own research projects.
Pre-conference Workshop IV: Simulation and Training for Interprofessional Education
World Health Organization published the Framework for Action on Inter-professional Education (IPE) and Collaborative Practice. IPE is defined as two or more professionals jointly creating a collaborative learning environment to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will result in inter-professional team behaviors1. However, IPE faces various barriers, including unsupportive attitudes from higher academic administrators, a lack of resources, difficulties with class scheduling/conflicts, different models and methods of practice among different disciplines, and stereotypical perceptions of other professions. Each setting may have its own issues and barriers when implementing IPE training. The current workshop aims to address issues related to designing IPE learning activity in various settings. It also highlights the importance to have patient engagement in designing IPE learning activity.
